Swedwatch co-hosted a webinar in February on the obligations of companies, states, and other relevant stakeholders in addressing environmental pollution in the production of agricultural commodities.

It coincided with the launch of a new report by Swedwatch, Source International and Green Advocates International on the negative impacts of natural rubber processing in Liberia, which also provided a focus for discussion.

The webinar co-hosted with Source International and Mighty Earth examined the importance of integration of environmental standards in due diligence frameworks, the role of access to information, the importance of responsible management of natural rubber value chains and the significance of international initiatives, including the global right to a healthy environment, and multi-stakeholder platforms, such as the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR).
