We are hiring a Grant & Impact Writer
We are looking for a highly skilled Grant & Impact Writer (temporary position) to support and strengthen Swedwatch’s external communication and fundraising. This role blends strategic grant writing with impactful storytelling and content development aimed at increasing our visibility among donors, the public and the media. In short, to help us tell our story – and secure the support we need to continue our work.
About Swedwatch
Swedwatch is an independent, non-profit research organization that promotes responsible business conduct and strengthens the voice of rights holders. Through research, advocacy and capacity building, we expose the human and environmental costs of harmful business practices and build pressure for change.
You will:
Write persuasive, targeted grant applications to a broad range of donors – including private foundations and institutional funders
Edit and support reports and funding-related documents
Develop compelling written content for external platforms, including website, newsletters and press releases
Help translate complex research findings into clear and engaging narratives
Collaborate with Swedwatch’s Development Coordinator, Program Officers and Communications team to tailor messaging for different audiences
Who you are
You are a sharp, adaptable communicator with a passion for well-crafted writing. Whether you’re drafting a funding proposal or shaping a story about real-world impact, you know how to tailor your message to resonate with your audience.
We believe you might have a mix of the following:
Excellent English writing skills – native or near-native level
Proven experience with successful grant writing and/or impact storytelling
Ability to turn complex ideas into accessible, engaging language
Experience developing content for web, media or public audiences
Strong organizational and time management skills
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team against sharp external deadlines
Experience in journalism, civil society, or work related to human rights or sustainability is highly valued.
