Chemical Storage on a tannery in India

Swedish shoe companies’ routines and standards regarding environmental effects from the production of leather shoes are investigated in a report by Swedwatch and Swedish Society for Nature Conservation.

The study reveals that there is a lack of knowledge within the companies regarding the production and the supply chain. Moreover, there are a lot missing concerning the companies’ environmental demands as well as the control of how the suppliers comply with these demands.
